Advertising, to be effective, should not be done in a scattershot approach. Instead, the strategies to use for advertising must be straightforward, unambiguous and definitive. The general public, who are in turn the potential clients and consumers, are smart enough to detect if you are throwing hodgepodge of senseless and unfocused advertising materials. In order to achieve effective advert strategies, you need to know the product being sold inside and out. Furthermore, you need to be certain of the target and potential market. The former is where you have to pour in your concerted effort and best shot, while the latter is where you can flirt with the idea that you might be able to persuade them to jump ship because of your marketing strategy.
